Black Sugar

Tonight, while looking for a gift, I stumbled upon "black sugar" on the Fortum & Mason website. The only black sugar I know of is found in Okinawa, Japan. It is similar to dark drown sugar, but with a much higher molassas content. It's very good, and using for baking is amazing! I remember eating it on corn flakes at breakfast every morning for the week I was there several years back. Finding black sugar tonight was exciting - except I don't think it's the same stuff. This will require further investigation. At least it was a nice trip down memory lane!
